Do you fancy meeting up with others to complete the NHS couch to 5K challenge? 

Couch to 5K is an NHS running programme for absolute beginners and has now helped more than 4 million people start running in a manageable and fun way. The training can be done in as little as 9 weeks, or longer if you want to go at your own pace.  We want to bring people together to join the challenge so we can support one another, even if you don’t have the app yourself!  So why not start this challenge with us in March with likeminded people to get fit and make friends? We know that fresh air and exercise is great for our mental health (especially with spring around the corner!), so what a better time to start a new venture! If you fancy getting fit, making friends and achieving this challenge, either call us, email us, or pop your name on the chalk board at the hub.

It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon!

Literally!  We are also thinking of putting together a marathon relay team to run and raise money for TAL.  Whether you’re on the final leg of 3 miles (5K)  or the 2nd of 6 miles (10K), together you WILL complete a marathon.  You may decide after reaching your Couch-to-5K goal that you would like to form part of our relay team – now that really is something to aim for!
